When SAPMOK closed, we thought that was the last chapter. Then you showed up: in our inbox, in the reviews, in thousands of messages asking us not to let it end. One of those people was a South African entrepreneur who didn't just want to save a shoe brand. He wanted to bring shoemaking home.

He's bringing a footwear factory in George, run by Italian shoemakers, and he's kept both our founders on board. Same roots. Same fit you trust.

That changes everything. Our barefoots were the one thing we could never fully make in South Africa. Soon we can. Every pair, from vellie to barefoot, will be made right here, locally.

A bigger journey needs a bigger name. SAPMOK was the start. We're relaunching as FAR SOUTH: where we're from, and where we'll make things. Our original vellies will keep the old name, as Sapmok OG's, and the S stays on every pair.
